\nLocated on the property Ponderosa, this adaptive re-use project has been shaped by heritage, contemporary craftsmanship and a close family collaboration between Chris and Tracey Smith, their son Lewis Smith and their team at Collectiv Group. Chris and Tracey purchased Ponderosa in 2020, drawn immediately to its scale, sweeping views and proximity to the coast, just minutes
\nfrom Port Elliot and Victor Harbor. Fenced paddocks, multiple dams and vast open skies define the property.<\/p>\n<\/div>
\nTim and Lisa had seen examples of SpaceCraft\u2019s work in a mid-century modern style and knew they wanted that same aesthetic for the renovation. \nOn the hunt for ideas for their kitchen and living room renovation, homeowners Tim and Lisa attended a design day at German hardware manufacturer Blum. As luck would have it, Nathan Wundersitz of SpaceCraft was one of the speakers.

\nWhen most people think of Port Elliot, a few images inevitably spring to mind: Horseshoe Bay, the Port Elliot Bakery, one of the Fleurieu\u2019s best beach towns \u2013 bursting into life over summer yet remaining an excellent walking, eating and shopping destination year round. In reality, Port Elliot is also a nexus for artisans, creatives and people intent on making a positive impact on the community they love. Oh, and coffee \u2013 so much coffee \u2013 each venue putting its own spin on largely local roasters.<\/p>\n<\/div>
<\/span><\/a>DESTINATION FEATURE<\/strong>
\nHaving travelled to Kangaroo Island on numerous occasions, I still look forward to what I consider a quintessential KI road-trip moment. Just after disembarking at Penneshaw from the Sealink ferry, and only a few kilometres in, we reach the mallee arbors along Hog Bay Road, and that\u2019s when I know we\u2019ve truly arrived.
